Time for some new makeup goodies! Today I wanted to show you what new complexion hydrating products I started using for an easy everyday look. Enter the Neutrogena® Hydro Boost collection as well as Neutrogena® SkinClearing sold at Walmart. During my trip at the makeup aisle, I got a Neutrogena® Hydro Boost foundation in Nude 40 which matches my yellow undertones well. This foundation features a hydrating hyaluronic acid to make my skin feel dewy (which I love). Second, I needed a spot concealer for my monthly breakout and the Neutrogena® Skinclearing Blemish pen was the perfect addition to my makeup bag. Lastly, a very hydrating lip product was much needed so I picked Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Lip Shine in #70 which conditions while adding a lovely color to my lips.
I start my makeup always with a moisturizer before any foundation. Because my skin is very dry, I make sure my face is clean and visibly hydrated in order for my foundation to settle in nicely and avoid patchy spots. The advantage of Neutrogena® Hydro Boost foundation is that it feels very much like a moisturizer, it is creamy and feels supple on contact with my skin. I apply foundation with my clean hands, the way I would apply a face cream (see my photos). Once I am done blending it all in, I do spot covering. **Sharing images directly from my Instagram story, I did a “Get Ready With Me” session step by step doing my skin and showing my followers in simple steps, left is before makeup and right is after foundation is blended.
I love to cover any blemishes at the end of my makeup application. The Neutrogena® Skinclearing Blemish pen in 15 medium was my choice as it matched my skin and covered very well. Covering blemishes can be tricky, I like using a little amount and stipple it with a Q-Tip to avoid any over application. Neutrogena SkinClearing® makeup line has salicylic acid which is a great ingredient to fight oil and spots. This Neutrogena® line is oil-free and non-comodogenic, it won’t clog your pores.
Everyday looks for me are natural, what I call “no makeup but I am wearing makeup”. For the ultimate finish, I like using a hydrating lip product with some hint of gloss.
